What is an apostille? 什么是海牙认证？
An apostille is a one-page government certificate that authenticates the official signature on your document so it will be accepted in another country. Since November 2023, mainland China accepts apostilles — the old Chinese consular legalization step is no longer needed. 海牙认证（Apostille）是一份官方证书，使您的文件可以在其他缔约国直接使用。中国大陆自2023年11月起适用，无需再办理领事认证。
Do I need to mail you my original documents? 需要邮寄原件吗？
Usually no. For most documents — FBI checks, degrees, new powers of attorney, birth certificates — we work from a scan or order a fresh certified copy directly from the government. You only mail originals for documents that are already notarized. 大多数文件只需发送扫描件。
How long does it take? 需要多长时间？
